Who we are
Nostra provides point of sale, inventory, purchasing and accounting software to retail, wholesale and pharmacy businesses. In this policy, "we" means Nostra and "you" means the business using Nostra or a person visiting this website.
Your data and our role
When your business uses Nostra, the information you enter about your products, customers, suppliers and sales belongs to you. For that information you are the data controller and we act as your processor: we store and process it only to provide the service to you.
For the account details of the people who sign in, and for visitors to this website, we are the controller.
What we collect
- Account details: names, email addresses, phone numbers and roles of the staff who sign in.
- Business records you enter: products, stock, sales, customers, suppliers, payments and the audit trail of actions taken.
- Technical data: device and browser type, sign-in times and error reports, used to keep the service running.
- Enquiries: what you tell us when you request a walkthrough or contact us.
How we use it
We use this information to provide and support the service, to keep it secure, to fix problems, and to tell you about changes that affect you. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your business records to advertise to anyone.
Where it is stored
Hosted customers' data is stored with our hosting provider and backed up off-site. Self-hosted customers' data stays on infrastructure they control. Off-site backups can be directed to storage under your own credentials. Hosting provider: [hosting provider], in [hosting region].
How long we keep it
We keep your business records for as long as your account is active. When you leave, you receive a full export, and we delete the data from our systems within [deletion period] unless the law requires us to keep it longer. You can ask us to confirm what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to export it, or to delete it where the law allows. If your request concerns information a business stores in Nostra about you as its customer, contact that business first, because they control it.
Cookies and storage
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's session storage to remember whether you have switched the demo network off while you move between pages, and it loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google. The Nostra application stores queued offline sales in your browser's own database so they survive a restart.
